Emergency Preparedness Planning
R Dan introduced R Alan. Alan moved to Brighton at the beginning of Kindergarten. Father was a baker.

This was Alan's modified classification talk. Emphasis on being prepared for an emergency.
Alan spent 25 years in the Army, then got into Emergency Measures. He talked of positives of a military career.

He emphasized our need to be prepared in an emergency, especially in a big emergency the First Responders will not come, they will be occupied elsewhere. First Response is insufficient to deal with everyone in a big incident.

The object of emergency measures is to prevent / mitigate for the big disaster. To have a plan.

Each one of us needs a plan. At home, in the car. Be prepared when traveling. Have a kit for at least 72 hours including food, water, heat source. Potential emergencies can be fire, chemical spills, building evacuation.

There is lots of info on web sites. Be prepared.
