- NO Meeting December 28th. Next meeting January 4th.
- Pres Patty presented cheque in past week to the Lance family who recently lost their house to fire. They are very appreciated.
- Application for membership received this week from past Rotarian Ted Harp.

- District Membership workshop to be held at Trent Port Marina, Saturday January 12, 2019, 8am to 1:30pm. Free (with lunch included). Space limited. Free however, if you register and are a no show, you will be charged $25.
- Valentine's Dance scheduled for Thursday February 14th, 7pm to 11pm with DJ. Tickets will be $25 each and available January 4th. We need bar tender for license, please advise R Chris as soon as possible.
- Brighton Rotary Auction and Dinner May 11, 2019
- Brighton Rotary is 30 - June 2019.
- District Conference next year - Rotary Muskoka Style at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort and Spa - October 25 - 27, 2019. Early registration fee $299. Rooms at special rate of $135 / night while they last.

- From our Mayor, Council passed a Draft Strategic Plan. It is attached. They are looking for user groups like Rotary to review and provide comments prior to January 25, 2019. They are looking to finalize in February.
- Northumberland Rotary Clubs looking to organize Music Festival in 2019. Meeting scheduled for 7pm Tuesday January 8th, 2019. R Jeff W has agreed to participate and represent Brighton.
Eloisa's Report:
1. Her father is getting better.
2. She went to Donkey sanctuary and goat farm.
3. Skating and learned to stop.
4. Entered dance competition.
5. She attended Santa's breakfast at Legion on Sunday morning, then Feed the Need benefit concert in Bowmanville where she sold about $60 worth of hand made Christmas cards. More money for THREADS.
6. Had a campfire with friends - marsh mellows and hot chocolate.
7. She is going to NHL Leafs game on Sunday.

50/50: $16 won by R Chris who donated it to the Foundation.
Happy Bucks: great time of year, R Dan leading us in song, Pres Patty practicing ukulele, good time in Florida, just happy, nostalgic return to Rotary with dad, joyous season, wife's family over, trip to Halifax on Boxing Day, super special year, prayers for Luca who has had multiple transplants and still fighting, daughter's cancer treatment looks good, son's PTSD treatment doing well, to be here and standing, visit to grandkids and watch them open gifts Christmas morning, friends, enjoy singing here even if not appreciated at home, Christmas tree up tonight.
