Smile for Week:

R Craig's short aunt Dee went to her Doctor about a rash at the top of her leg. After an examination he prescribed a cream. However, she returned to the Doctor advising that the cream worked for a while but the rash returned. The doctor asked about the circumstances when the rash would appear and she advised that it returned when she went fishing. So the doctor asked her to return to him the next time she went fishing. A while later aunt Dee returned and when the doctor examine her again he got out his scissors and started cutting and snipping here and there. When he was finished the doctor asked how it felt and she said wonderful, what did he do. The doctor advised that he had cut top couple inches off her hip waders.

Stories
Foundation and Grants Progarm
R Steve attended Foundation / Grants breakout session at District Assembly last week.

Rotary Club of Brighton has committed to partnering with Rogerio's club in Brazil to seek Global Grant for water filters for garbage pickers in Brazilia. For the Rotary Club of Brighton to qualify, there are some basic rules:
#1 At least two members for Brighton Rotary must take on line Grant Qualification tests for certification. R Steve has completed and R Clay will take tests.
#2 Club has to execute a Memorandum of Understanding. This has been signed by President Patty and President Elect Daniel. It will be submitted to District.

See the link for an overview of the Foundation, the strength of Rotary. Monies we raise for the Foundation comes back to us 3 years later in form of Global and District Grants. If you have any questions, please ask R Steve.
