Stories
ENSS Project Hope
R Mark introduced Nancy Wilson, teacher at ENSS and Matt Towers and Aiden Hussey, two students going into grade 12 in September. Both are on student council.

Aiden and Matt provided some background, that in grade 10 they were given an assignment to investigate cancer. From that project, they developed an idea to promote the Terry Fox campaign. It started with a letter writing project to allow students to write letters to family and friends and providing a link to donate.

Phase 2 was selling daffodil bulbs.

Now Phase 3 is to build a memorial / legacy garden at the front of the school, near the office main doors on Dundas Street. Hollindale are donated time to build. They are selling stones:

$40 for individual stone
$60 for family stone
$200 for corporate stone

Proceeds to the Terry Fox Foundation. These prices hold until Applefest weekend, then they will go up because after construction starts, engraving in place costs more.

This garden will create a legacy at ENSS. Construction planned for this fall.

They are asking if Rotary will be a sponsor for $500 along with Brian Todd Memorial Foundation, ENSS Student Government and ?

R Mark thanked them for their presentation.
