Rotary Minute: I think I forgot to ask - fine coming?
Report from Outbound Student Abby in France:
"I really like my new family, especially my sister. With this family I can go out with both french and other friends very easily. I take the bus every day pretty much for 45 minutes, and recently me and everyone has been feeling a little down. Not really homesick but kind of wishful. I'm always trying new food and french is always improving even if I'm practically fluent. I participate in lots of sports classes with different grades and make new friends like that. My prof even complimented me on my rock climbing skills. One thing that has bothered me is that recently a new Canadian with a different program came to my school. She already spoke French but she's still below our (the three girls) skill level. And she is younger and they put her in premier. So, we will contact Rotary here again because Jaqueline suggested we do so. The director claims we have no other friends and only speak English together and has no space but those are his only (and poor) motives. I am friends with half the school actively and I speak French 24/7. Next month I'll go to Austria with my family to ski (I have no idea how to ski) so I hope it goes well. It amazes me how close all the countries are."
