Smile: blush
It is so cold out, R Craig saw a chicken on the road with a 'cape on'.

As a child, R Craig's grandfather gave him a big old book of early Christmas stories. He recently got it out to read and dropped in on his toe. It hurt like the 'Dickens'.

Daniella's Report:
Daniella shared the New Years celebration in the Faroe Islands:
She goes to her grandparents village where they take large torches and walk through the village to the beach where there is a large bon fire. They throw their torches into the bigger bon fire.
She did some research to find origin of this tradition, but appears elusive, but some ideas include old Viking sacrifice to gods, or that people put wishes on wood and then burned them. Or possibly just to get rid of old things.
Appears tradition may have changed over years, from individual fires to a communal one, to also including the burning of a boat.

Daniella's Bucket List:
Play hockey
Niagara Falls
CN tower
Algonquien Park
See a moose
See a beaver
See a possum
See a bear
Play in the snow
Volunteer (animal shelter?)
See leaves change color
Ottawa (skate on the Rideau canal)
Go skiing
Swim in Lake Ontario
Cliff jump (?😬)
See the northern lights
Go to New York City?
See a baseball game
See a rugby game
See an american football game
See a ice hockey game
Try beaver tail (not from a real beaver)

Songs: We were led in traditional carol singing by Pres Daniel. R Liesje distributed noise makers so that everyone could participate as they wished as part of accompaniment / rhythem section.

Sharing: $21.50 won by R Chris who donated it to Foundation.

Happy Bucks: to be here, great meeting, pleasure to have daughter join for breakfast, for Christmas, visiting old club, $1.4 Billion to housing announced, good singing voices, family for Christmas, to be up early enough to see sun come up, fortunate to live in Canada, challenge to invite someone for Christmas dinner who otherwise has no place to go, to meet Sam, to see Eloisa again, being sentimental, good life, happy all the time for blessings, for full room, visitors, Sargent at Arms too soft, to be Canadian, enjoyed singing, 1/2 way through Rotary year, to Halifax next weekend, practice rhythem

Rotary Minute: Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
