Membership Challenge
Time Period - December 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018
Rules:
1. Teams consist of each of the 3 POD's.
2. Points: 1 point for the presence of a guest as a potential member; 2 points if the guest takes a membership application; 3 points when the guest is inducted.
3. Upon receipt of the application, the usual process for dealing with the application is to be followed.
4. The team at March 31 with the greatest number of points is the winner.
5. Members of the winning team (POD) are to be treated to a breadfast at the expense of the losing teams at a regular Breakfast meeting.
Suggestion - POD's can identify potential individuals to be approached and a Rotarian to approach and invite the individual to join us.

Abby's report:
I haven't had wifi for the past week or so because i've been skiing in the austrian alps (learning to ski, struggling to understand german) and it was the most beautiful place i have visited in my whole life. as always, the french school system , my school specifically , is frustrating. the other three girls and i have tried to get rotary involved with changing classes since the maturity level is very difficult to deal with. but even though, i have lots my friends my age, i just hardly see them. my family is a delight, i love my sister so so much, but i have found that my relationship with my last family has gotten cold ( i was so focused on trying to work things out with school and bonding with my new family that i hardly saw my last family who i will go back to), whenever i went to go see my mom she was incredibly busy and my host brother and i have drastically different schedules so i hardly see him. but i am working on reparing it slowly and when my dad from canada comes to visit in a few weeks i'm trying to organize a dinner with them. I am competing in the school spectacuar which i am a little scared for but also really excited. i see my exchange student friends a lot and am starting to pick up a little spanish. Jaqueline told me that next year the boy who is from 7070 will be in my district 1670, he will have an awesome time! minus all the rain. France is defintely helping me with choices about the future job-wise, i am really glad i am in a country where i can really excell at the language and use it lots when i get home, even though i'm forgetting to speak english and every dream i have and almost every thought is in french. thanks for listening and let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
