R Michael is glad to be back with the Rotary Club of Brighton. For this his second Classification, he has changed it up and focusing on youth, education and work.

Michael grew up in the Kitchener Waterloo area. He showed us some pictures of the Cities. He went to Bluevale Collegiate, in the 2nd class to attend the new school. He focused on math and science and then went to Ryerson taking metallurgy. A particular lab was 3 hours a week and all math, solving problems.

Then he went to Queen's University and pointed out where he proposed to Audrey.

He later did an MBA in Breakwater Prison in Cape Town. It wasn't a prison when he attended. (I don't think)?

Then he proceeded to show us where he worked around the world, at different mines and processing facilities

He showed us how the desert in South Africa can blossom when the rains come. Lots of colour.

He has worked in many facilities, from gold, uranium and many others. From northern Quebec, Timmins, Nevada, Alaska and Africa. He briefly talked about improved techniques to extract more of the minerals, more environment friendly techniques.

He showed us a plant in BC that is his baby, that he helped design from ground up. Another plant that the equipment had to be installed to replace old without slowing down production.

Stay tuned for part 2.
