R Murray introduced Lynn Rae:

Lynn Rae was diagnosed with depression at the age of thirty and bipolar disorder five years later. Two psychiatrists told her that she would never work full-time again. She has proven them wrong. She has been working full-time for over 15 years, including running her own Virtual Assistant business.

As an Inspirational Speaker, Lynn shares with others her coping strategies for living with bipolar disorder and how she learned to be a productive member of society again and thrive despite how she was labelled.

She has self-published “The F Book: 7 Fs to Creating Your Fantastic Future” which teaches you that by incorporating these seven words, all starting with the letter F, can lead to a happier, healthier more joy-filled life.

Lynn makes her home in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.  In the summer she loves taking care of her vegetable garden and eating fresh from it every day.

7 F's to Creating your Fantastic Future

These are: Family, Friends, Fun, Fitness, Fulfillment, Finances, Faith. You may have these in different priorities from time to time.

Family - Always there although we have moved away from traditional family units and doing things together. Every member is unique and have their own needs. As adults, should be up to us to resolve issues and get what you need. Perfection only exists in people's minds. To be a Family - do things together.

Lynn recommends to recognize traditions, chores, do pleasurable activities and make family a priority.

Friends - This is the family we choose for ourselves. Hopefully they are good listeners. Sometimes we have friends for a reason, for a season or for lifetime. Friendships need to be nurtured. Ideally a friend makes us feel better about ourselves.

Fun - do something fun everyday. Life is too short not to enjoy. Children are the best teachers about having fun. Can be swimming, cooking, painting, whatever gives you joy. A small reward everyday.

Fitness - Physical Fitness and Mental Fitness. Physical fitness can be fun such as sport, hobby. Walking is best. Mental fitness means exercise the mind, don't stop learning. Eat nutritional food. Laugh.

Fullfillment - Hopefully you love your job, we spend about 40 years working. Have a hobby, use your unique abilities and talents. Search for your passions.

Finances - Most couples fight about this. Make a plan / lists so you do less impulse buying. Plastic cards provides instant gratification but the pain or reality is later when the bill comes in. Try using cash. We need to develop good habits / backbone around how we spend and use money. Don't be afraid to tell family and friends 'I'm sorry, I just can't afford it now.' If you see something, wait 24 hours before buying if you still want it.

Faith -  A strong belief in something, especially without proof. Have Hope for a better tomorrow.

Lynn believes that someone or something does answer prayer and provided some examples in her life.

Lynn had her book as well as a work book for sale.

R Daniel thanked Lynn.
