R Joyce introduced Nika Kertov as our newest outbound exchange student.
Nika thanked Rotary for providing this opportunity to her to travel and learn new language and culture.
Nika is 16 at ENSS. She was born in Whitehorse but moved to Ukraine as a child. She speaks 3 languages, Russian, Ukraine and English.
Nika returned with her family to Canada in 2014.
She loves to write, do pottery, and make films. She loves to travel and experience new cultures.
Her mother met her father in Moscow. Her mother was a translator and now does publicity for musicians. Her father produces music,
Nika provided a brief overview of Rotary history and how grateful she is for this opportunity. She looks forward to traveling on her own.
