R Clay introduced Vernon:

Vernon grew up on a farm near Thesselon Ontario along the north channel. He has a beef cattle farm and he is an auctioneer as well. He has 3 kids, 5 grandkids and lives now in Sault St. Marie.

He has helped raise over $3 million dollars at auction for local charities over the years.

He also reads poetry and performs in live theatre. His first was focused on the poems of Robert Service called 'Call of the Wild'. His second was 'Life on the Farm' featuring poems by Charles Smith.

Vernon writes periodically for an Auctioneering paper about life on the farm and love of the land.

With some friends, he has produced a couple shows, with lighting, to look more professional. The theatre is sharing of poems and songs around the chosen theme such as Robert Service or Life on the Farm.

Vernon shared several poems from "Life on the Farm' written by Charles Smith.

'The Love of the Land'
'Billy Buck'
'Snow'
'Runoff'
'Cattle Dog'
'Preserved'
'Henry Died at Christmas'

R Chris thanked Vernon for his spinning of life into poetry.
