I' ve been working for 8 years in a wastewater treatment company now. 2 years ago, we bought an old farm to restore (for living, not farming) with my partner and a month ago I gave birth to a little girl named Clara. Great change, we already are fond of her! Please say hi to everyone ! Take care. Amandine

A senior drove his brand new Corvette convertible past a Tim Hortons and sped into the country. He got on the trans Canada highway and was clocking 125k with wind blowing through his thinning hair. As he headed past the Manitoba border, he noted an RCMP vehicle in his rear view mirror and he said to himself, I can get away from him and speeded up to 150k per hour. Then, he said to himself, why am I doing this, I am too old for this nonsense so he slowed down and the police car came up behind him as he pulled over to the shoulder of the road. The officer came up to his open car window, looked at his watch and said to him, I am 30 minutes from the end of my shift, and its Friday so if you can give me an explanation of why you were going this fast that I have never heard before, I will let you off.  The senior said, “Years ago my wife ran off with an RCMP officer and I thought you were bringing her back!”

In 1979, Rotary began a project to immunize six million children against polio in the Philippines. This led to Rotary making polio eradication its top priority.
In 1988, Rotary began the PolioPlus campaign with an initial fundraising pledge of $120 million.
Providing vitamin A supplements during polio immunization has averted an estimated 1.5 million childhood deaths since 1998 – the "plus" in PolioPlus.
Rotary's fiscal year began the day after its conventions until 1913.  Starting in 1913, it begins on July 1st.
The first Rotary Boys' Week was held in New York City in May 1920, by the Rotary Club of New York.

2021 Karaoke Contest Judging
We had special guests Don and Pat Anderson with us this morning to help us judge the Karaoke contest submissions.

We had three submissions:

The Rotary Club of Campbellford submitted 4 entries saying quantity vs. quality.

The Rotary Club of Stirling submitted their entry in true Karaoke style, one cut.

The Rotary Club of Oshawa defended their title as 2020 winners and they had Fun they said. Which was the point.

However, we could not watch Oshawa's because the 'WE' link had expired. They have now provided a You Tube link.

There will be an update now that everyone can view Oshawa's submission.
